EV Safety: Our Commitment to Fire Emergency Training
At the core of our mission to drive clean energy innovation is a deep commitment to safety, education, and industry collaboration. On March 21, 2023, our founder, Louis Ching, took this commitment a step further by volunteering in an EV Fire Emergencies Training Session at the CFA Seymour.
Driving the Conversation on EV Fire Safety
Arriving at the event in a Nissan Leaf, Louis didn’t just bring a vehicle—he brought insight and expertise to the training session. As an industry leader in high-performance battery technology, he shared firsthand knowledge of lithium-ion battery behavior, thermal runaway risks, and best practices for emergency response when dealing with EV fires.
The session was designed to equip firefighters and emergency responders with the skills and understanding needed to safely handle electric vehicle-related incidents, a growing concern as EV adoption continues to rise.
Hands-On Learning & Real-World Scenarios
During the training, Louis engaged in live demonstrations and discussions on:
-How lithium-ion batteries react under extreme conditions
-Safe shutdown procedures for EVs in emergency situations
-Effective cooling and containment strategies for battery fires
-Identifying battery pack locations in different EV models
By contributing his expertise, Louis helped bridge the gap between EV technology and emergency response, ensuring that first responders have the tools they need to keep communities safe.
Commitment to a Safer, Cleaner Future
At Bigger Energizer, we believe that innovation and safety must go hand in hand. Louis’s participation in the CFA Seymour EV Fire Emergencies Training is just one of the ways we’re working to support the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable transport industry—responsibly and safely.
We’re proud to see our founder take an active role in industry education, and we will continue to collaborate with emergency services, regulators, and industry partners to ensure that EV adoption is both sustainable and secure.
